Voyeur? Voyeur Tom? Nosy neighbor? In fact they were frowned upon in previous generations, but are now the norm for advertising and marketing mechanisms in Reality Television. American pop culture has been influenced and influenced by Reality Television due to its distinctive attributes, its long history, and its influence on everyday life. Reality Television is found interesting due to its distinctive attributes. Each different reality show caters to different viewers because of what it is about. One may watch a show to see a difficult family lifestyle, others for the wealth of the actors and finally for something they may say they don't want but do; drama. Reality shows show a variety of social classes, different genders have different social classes. Dramas show upper class people, sitcoms tend to show the middle class, and daytime television shows working class people. These reality shows use these techniques to engage audiences and viewers. Reality TV has a long history. Candid Camera first aired in 1948 on radio and then the following year on television. It has since been on and off television. This was considered the first ever reality television show. The year 1992 was still one of the biggest years for reality TV. This was the year the real world hit television. The Real World was considered the basis for reality television. Since the real world has come up more and more reality shows and each one is different and they fight to get more views than the next one. It takes a lot of effort to make the next "hot" show. Half a billion dollars is spent at five different television stations.
