The entire class and their “Morries” gathered in a room in the library. All the students were very nervous, we had spent almost six months on these projects and we were about to show them not only to each other, but also to the people we have been writing about for the last six months. Our teacher told us to choose an excerpt to read from the book. When it was my turn, I chose to read the description I had written about who Robert was. I was nervous about reading it in front of him because I was afraid he wouldn't like it. As I read, I made eye contact with him. He was so focused and looked like he was having fun. After I finished reading, I handed him the binder that contained the book. He was so thrilled. I could tell by the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled. I also realized that I was excited. Not excited that the project was finished, but excited that I accomplished what I set out to do. I learned so much from Robert through this project and I didn't expect it. The Tuesdays with Morrie project turned out to be a great experience for both of us. Through this project, I was able to practice and improve my writing skills and I was able to show my appreciation to Robert by giving him the book I worked really hard on
