Ethical decision making has been a key criterion that must be given due consideration if an event were to occur in organizations. To ensure ethical decision making in an organization, one must first accept how individuals make ethical decisions in an organizational environment. Individuals in organizations are often expected to make ethical decisions in the same way they make ethical decisions at home and in their personal lives. The success of an organization depends largely on the ability of its management to make good and effective decisions (Kinicki 2008, 249-50). Ethics, the heart of leadership, as reflected in the title of Joanne B. Ciulla's 1998 book on leadership. Indeed, ethics and leadership should form an inseparable unit.
