It's not about making fun of them or making them feel like they're the biggest joke, it makes them feel worthless. Even though there are other kids in the school who don't believe what these mean girls are doing is right, they are too afraid to defend that person and don't want to become a target themselves. The girls sit in class exchanging notes about the girl they have their eye on, leading this girl to feel uncomfortable and unable to concentrate on her school work. At one time in these girls' lives they probably felt like their home was a safe place to escape from bullies, but that's no longer the case with social media bullies have access to girls no matter where they are. Bullies post horrible things about these girls saying they are whores and will do anything to a boy or even a girl who claims to be gay. These poisonous and painful acts will eventually be committed by even the toughest girls, leaving them with cuts that run deep into their hearts and drain them of any sense of self-worth. It's time adults stopped using the words that it's only girls who are girls; This is a real and terrible epidemic that we must put an end to. Parents send their children to school to learn and become more responsible; they are not sent to fight for their lives as if they were sent there
