Have you ever thought about where jewelry began? People use jewelry every day. It's a way to accessorize yourself and set yourself apart from other people. People even use jewelry to show that they have money. But how were jewels born? In fact people were using jewelry as early as 1 BC and before. It wasn't like today but they were still jewels. The history of jewelry is very interesting. In this article I will tell you the history of jewelry through the eyes of many different cultures and eras. You will see that early people used jewelry when some people may not think they did. Furthermore, as time passes over the centuries, the type and taste of different jewelry changes. As technology changes, so does the type of jewelry. As time goes by, different cultures are in power in different areas of the world. Who is responsible largely determines the different styles of jewelry that are in fashion. For example, when the Romans were in charge of Europe, North Africa, and parts of the Middle East, the style of jewelry was the dominant one in those regions. Now we will talk about how ancient Roman jewelry was very much based on Greek jewelry and Etruscan jewelry. But Roman jewelry used more colorful gemstones such as emeralds, rubies, and pearls. Roman jewelry was influenced by the lands they conquered. This brought about many different styles and types of Roman citizens. Greek jewelry was very beautiful to me in the Hellenistic period. The Greeks made gold necklaces, earrings, pendants, brooches, bracelets, bracelets and hair ornaments with precious gems in them. Many drawings depicted plants and animals. They also used winged figures such as Eros, Nike and Zeus' eagle. Evidence has shown that already 50,000 years ago... half of the paper... plans though. Jewelry nowadays is a mix of old and new. Jewelry is as different as the person who wears it. Jewelry has a long tradition of different cultures and styles. As you have seen, people all over the world have worn jewelry dating back to early times. I think people wear jewelry to feel good about themselves. Because if you look good it will probably help you feel good. When I wear jewelry I sometimes think of all the people before me who wore jewelry. I think it's a human thing to wear jewelry. Jewelry will continue to be a part of what a person wears in the future. I think that will change though. As technology improves, jewelry will improve. I think jewelry will become more and more expensive as time goes on. Whatever the style of jewelry, it will continue to be a part of the human being.
