Over the centuries, humans have discovered new ways to make work easier and more efficient through the evolution and use of tools. A tool is a device used to perform or facilitate manual or mechanical work. In most cases, tools are used to build a structure or repair one. The field that uses tools the most is that involving the construction of buildings, homes or recreational facilities. There are two types of tools you may encounter while on one of these buildings: mechanical tools and hand tools. Both of these types of tools have advantages, and there are also disadvantages. For this reason there is almost always a mixture of them on the construction site. From the early days when cavemen used stone hammers, rock chisels and bone awls to modern jackhammers, sand/water cutting machines and excavators, man has found more and more ways to speed up work manual and the production process. he used tools that date back further than scientists can estimate. Some of the very first man-made tools were fragments of sharpened stones. Then they evolved and started using animal bones. From there man began to use wood and shape it with his own tools. Then they discovered that copper and iron were more reliable and efficient than bone and rock. Slowly but surely these tools evolved into what we have today. Most hand tools that can be found in local hardware stores today originated in the Roman and Greek periods, when they were considered modern-day Dubai and New York City. Some of the newest tools that man has created through the use of electricity are power tools. The main idea behind a power tool is for it to do the hard work… in the middle of paper… with each other. Using a level is the only way to ensure this is done correctly. A level is a piece of wood or aluminum with a liquid-filled hole in the center. The liquid contains a gas bubble and the liquid shell has two lines in the center. When using a level, make sure the air bubble is in the center of the lines. This will mean that the object is level. Tools are something that makes work easier and faster. Without them, the industrial world would not be able to achieve anything. Tools have evolved over the years and so have buildings and factories. A Canadian philosopher, Marshall McLuhan, once stated: “We become what we see. We shape our tools and, subsequently, our tools shape us.” This quote summarizes the idea and the evolution of the tools and reiterates the importance of the same tools that shape the world as we know it.
