The Truth campaign focuses on providing facts, truths and statistics to its viewers to inform them on the topic of tobacco. Under the big text at the top, the second fact states that “90% of them started out as teenage smokers.” Many adults who have become addicted to smoking cigarettes began smoking cigarettes when they were teenagers. There are many people who believe that smokers are not good people and that they will get sick. This is what the artist of this image is portraying. Truth's most recent campaign, "Finish It," has a strong theme: "be the generation that quits smoking forever." This was presented and shown through social media and popular television programs. Through exposing deadly and eye-opening facts through social media, he has had a great impact on teenagers. On the Truth website we read that “we are not here to criticize your choices, nor to tell you not to smoke. We are here to give everyone, smokers and non-smokers, the tools to make things change” (thetruth.com). Many other anti-smoking campaigns shame and guilt smokers, but Truth is mostly about exposing the facts and making people more informed about tobacco.
