It is such an easy task that takes less than three seconds and transforms your entire day. For example, instead of getting angry about the Internet not working, I focused on other things I could do that would be productive without having to use the Internet. This allowed me to work on some things I intended to tackle later in the week, but didn't think I had time for. Instead of wasting time getting angry about the situation, being productive during all that time really made a difference in my day and how I felt. This definitely impacts the children I come in contact with at work and outside of work. Practicing mindfulness regularly allows me to be more calm and peaceful with those children. Being mindful also includes the ability to be aware of your emotions and how to regulate them, so in the case of working with children, this is a fantastic skill to have. It allows me to know when I'm angry, impatient, annoyed, or upset and know how to turn those feelings into positive ones
