My Educational Philosophy Education is one of the key ingredients of life. Teachers play a vital role in the education of every individual. Of the four philosophies of education, I am closely linked to essentialism. Being an essentialist teacher simply means teaching based on structured lessons weaving together the experience and information that teenagers will need to be successful in their future. My philosophy is based on my educational experience. Teachers are the determining factor of the classroom atmosphere. The most enjoyable lessons for me consisted of well-motivated teachers doing engaging activities that accompanied their lessons. I didn't necessarily like teachers who shared everything and didn't give the class the opportunity to provide their input. It is important to me to clarify each student's understanding while they are physically in the classroom. As a student, I appreciated the teacher not only taking charge of the class, but also acting as a mediator. Connection with the teacher is achieved through balanced engagement in the classroom. Thinking back, already in first grade, I remember that my teacher involved the whole class in various activities. I remember becoming one of her class helpers because I always finished my work early. I enjoyed coming to school every day. The strong bond I shared with my favorite teachers ultimately helped me build my vision for how I would like to run my classroom. My role as a teacher is not only to prepare my students for the transition to the next grade, but to prepare them for their future endeavors. Additionally, I would like to appear to my students as one of the people in their support system and serve as a role model for those who need a positive figure in... middle of paper..... .tant to have self-confidence and self-motivation. I feel like if you don't believe in yourself, no one else can make a difference. Everyone's success is ultimately based on their own personal drive. Student responsibilities include completing homework and class work, listening to the teacher, engaging in classroom activities, and maintaining concentration in class. Throughout the school year, I would like to see my students grow in all aspects to become a better student. Education is like climbing a continuous ladder. There are so many lessons and obstacles that teachers and students will face as they climb the steps together. As a teacher, I will strive to push my students beyond their limits, while ensuring that they gain the knowledge necessary to become a successful person. My goal is to strengthen my essentialist philosophy through my journey to becoming a teacher.
