Clint VanVickle is an important person in my life. He is my father. He was born on December 16, 1976 in Staples Minnesota. He grew up on a farm in a small town called Pillager in Minnesota. My father never went to college, but he still worked as a government employee. My father lived in Pillager his entire life. We actually live only a quarter mile from the house he grew up in. He thought about moving to a different state but it never worked out. He lived here because it's where he grew up and it's where his family and friends live. On the farm where he grew up, my father had many chores to do, but fortunately he had a younger brother and sister to help him. His younger brother's name is Travis and his younger sister's name is Jessie. He had to feed and care for the animals. The animals they had at the time were horses and cows. Dad also had to check the enclosure where the animals were kept, so that they didn't get out and start running around. During the summer months, instead of running around and having fun with his friends, he was out gathering or cutting hay and storing it in the shed for the winter months. During school my father had some good friends, but one of his best friends was a boy called Damian Williams. They became good friends in elementary school. They both enjoyed doing the same things such as hunting, fishing and many other things involving the outdoors. They are still very good friends to this day. Damian lives about five miles from our house. Dad often goes there to go hunting or fishing with him. Almost every animal mounted in our house has a memory with my father and Damian behind it. About halfway through high school my dad and Damian left... halfway through paper...... oy. Leroy did a lot of things with my dad. Every year he went hunting with him. No matter what the weather was or what other plans he had, he always found time to spend with his family. It was a big shock for my father because he never expected his father to die so early in life. At least he lived a great life and I know he went to heaven, my father said. To top it off, my dad grew up on a farm in Pillager, Minnesota. He was born on December 16, 1976. He had a younger brother and a sister who was younger than him. They both helped him with the household chores. One of his best friends is Damian Williams. They are still friends today and do many things together. My father never went to college, but he still found a fairly decent job as a government employee for Minnesota. My father is a very important man to me and is one of the hardest working people I know.
