A unit of sociopolitical organization composed of a number of families, clans, or other groups that share a common ancestry and culture and among which leadership is typically neither formalized nor permanent is known as tribe. Tribes in India constitute a major part of the total population. It represents an element of Indian society that integrates with the cultural mosaic of our civilization. Tribal populations continue to face discrimination, exclusion and acts of communal violence. Laws and policies adopted by the government provide a solid basis for protection but are not faithfully implemented by local authorities. Marginalization is the social process by which a person or group of people is made marginal or relegated to the fringes or fringes of society. It occurs when people are pushed to the margins of society, usually as a result of discrimination that makes them distinct and look different from everyone else. Even in the social environment, groups of people or communities can experience being excluded. Their marginalization may be due to the fact that they speak a different language, follow different customs or belong to a religious group different from the majority community. They are also marginalized because they are poor, considered to be of low social status and considered less human. This sense of difference and exclusion leads to communal protests by tribals. Tribals are the main victims of this marginalization. Tribals live in areas rich in minerals and other natural resources. These are taken over for mining and other larger industrial projects. Losing their lands and access to forests means tribals lose their main sources of livelihood and for… half of the document… the international has submitted detailed reports to the United Nations and the OECD. They provided the Dongria with legal advice, and their researchers spent many days talking to the Dongria in their communities. The British government ruled that Vedanta "failed to consider the impact of the construction of the mine on the rights of the tribe". Their investigation concluded that "a change in the company's behavior" was "essential." The battle fought by the Dongria Kondh attracted international attention and support. Their first success was finally achieved in 2010, when India's Environment Ministry blocked planned bauxite mining in the Niyamgiri Mountains. In a Palli Sabha, a village meeting, all adults from a total of twelve affected communities have to decide whether or not Vedanta can mine bauxite in the Niyamgiri Mountains..
