We set up our tents and prepare our equipment for the following days' walk. This practice camp allowed us to "settle in" to our temporary homes and relax after a hectic afternoon. To David Price's displeasure, a flock of seagulls found it necessary to hover over his tent, lingering until dawn, cutting short the hours of his much-needed beauty sleep! This resulted in a very grumpy David and an extremely irritated group (David's repeated complaints were heard throughout the morning walk). Saturday - First day of the expedition We woke up to a heavy downpour much to the amusement of Rebecca, Hawys and Rachael, who thought it was hilarious. to find that Sam was applying a heavy load of mascara to her eyelashes. We set up the tents after preparing breakfast, another tasty portion of food: oat flakes and pieces of apple! We proceeded to clean up the surrounding area, collecting waste and removing any remaining pegs from the ground. After packing everything up, rolling up the mats and choosing the leader of the day (Hawys), we set off to discover what we could do.
