Academic journals, books, and articles examine accounts of Caribbean slave revolts and the influences of colonialism in the Caribbean. These sources provide access to how Caribbean scholars approach cultures without written records. Current sources, such as the Internet, examine colonial laws, “plantocratic” interpretations of marriage, separation, and the sale of slaves in the Caribbean. At present, the methodology focuses on the methods used by historians, commonly answering questions and examining different views and representations of the original events. The data collected gives the reader an understanding of how historians study the past, the questions often asked, the methods used to examine evidence and draw conclusions. It seeks to incorporate and establish that there are more historical accounts from European historians than Caribbean ones, therefore projecting an incomplete account of Caribbean history. Ultimately, the report will determine whether the story of the lower classes (slaves) is over yet
