Some of these may include facts based on opinions, biases about the topics and invalid information regarding the topic. We need to get tired of the information we get when we go online to research topics. We need to make sure the information is valid and accredited. We are in a generation where social media reigns supreme as a means of communication. This is another topic that has its advantages and disadvantages. Social media is useful for communicating with multiple people at the same time around the world or simply for staying in touch with family friends who live far away. We can also find communities for people with similar interests to ours through social media which allows us to expand our network and groups of like-minded individuals. Some of the negative aspects of social media would be how we communicate with each other and how there is a breakdown in communication efforts in younger generations. Nowadays it seems like everyone feels like an expert on specific topics, and social media has increased this state of mind. The “I have free speech” mentality comes with social media platforms. I've noticed how in the context of career, due to platforms like social media and Twitter, people seem to forget about professionalism and lose their filter the more active they become on social media platforms. I think how we communicate with others strongly influences how we are perceived, with the invention of social media there are many breakdowns in communication and no one seems to think before them
