James Rosenquist F-111 (1964-65) was supposed to be the most epic piece ever seen at MOMA. I entered MOMA thinking that I doubt there will be anything useful at MOMA. Not because MOMA isn't a fantastic museum, but the truth is that modern to contemporary art is just not my cup of tea. Turns out I was dead wrong. MOMA is a great place to be, even for a hater like me. While wandering around MOMA, I came across this painting. It immediately consumed me. This piece is gigantic. I remember walking in and being left blank. The only word that managed to escape my mouth was "Woah". I'm not kidding, I probably just stood there stunned. I was put into a kind of trance, this painting must be seen in person, otherwise its essential value will not be appreciated. Rosenquist wasn't an artist we learned about in class, so I set out to figure out what kind of art he practiced. As it turns out, he was pop art, not Warhol-like, but not that different from either.
