Problems with a strong organizational culture may be that they are not adaptive and do not support continuous change in the organization and their roles. Comparing a strong culture with a moderately strong culture some believe that the latter is more effective (McShane & Von Gilnow, 2013). However, the benefits of a strong culture can be more favorable overall. Figuring out how to balance a strong culture with a moderately strong culture is an area I need to find out more about.
