Topic > Obesity and Obesity: Obesity - 1021

Similarly, food intake is one of the most significant elements when it comes to overweight and obesity. Besides that, the human body requires performing some type of physical activity to maintain a healthy condition. When this aspect is neglected, further repercussions occur. Furthermore, physical inactivity associated with other recreational activities has been shown to strongly contribute to weight gain. To put it mildly, “physical inactivity and watching TV have been shown to be risk factors for childhood obesity” (Albaladejo et al. 4). A combination of two or more factors appears to be one of the riskiest causes of obesity and overweight. Likewise, Yeasmin, a professor of biochemistry at Ibrahim Medical College, says that overweight is an epidemic problem and that obesity will also have a broad impact on the physical and social well-being of adults in the future. She states that computer use, watching TV, less physical activity, and family factors are significant risk factors for obesity (Yeasmin et al. 57). As stated earlier, overweight and obesity cannot be easily eradicated unless the students suffering from them are willing to do so. Since physical activity is always recommended to improve health and have a healthier body, it is important to dedicate any time of the day to developing any type of physical activity. On the other hand, it is equally important to underline that obesity and overweight do not only affect the United States, but also other countries around the world. As a result, many countries are working to combat these diseases, and the United States is following suit. Likewise, while this is true, the United States has one of the highest rates of obesity and overweight......paper...American students. On the other hand, the risk of suffering from obesity or overweight can only be prevented by teaching children healthy eating. This will allow students to know what can harm their health when it comes time for college. It is equally important to understand that there must be a connection between physical activity and diet; both play an important role in protecting adolescents from suffering from these diseases. Therefore, if a student does not live in adequate economic conditions, but maintains a physical routine that helps him overcome obesity and overweight; it will be easier to control these diseases. Ultimately, eating habits and physical activities are personal choices that will dictate a student's future. The most advisable choice is to move away from what harms the body and stay in touch with what makes it feel better.
