A short motivational program to increase performance at JBL Enterprises Over the past two years, efficiency has decreased by 15% at JBL Enterprises, leading to an increase in costs. Analysis of the 2011 employee survey identified motivation as one of the factors contributing to reduced efficiency. To solve the problem, we recommend implementing a two-phase motivational program based on the characteristics of Transformational Leadership Theory (TLT). Transformational Leadership TheoryThe basic idea behind TLT is that a good leader will cultivate good relationships with his subordinates. To do this, Bass (1985) proposed four characteristics that a manager must possess to be an effective leader.
