Golf is a popular sport that has been played around the world for hundreds of years. Because this sport is so popular, there have been many instructors of the game. Teaching golf requires patience and in-depth knowledge of the game. Once taught how to play it, it becomes a relaxing sport that exerts many health benefits, can be played despite age, and produces many vital character traits. The origins of the game of golf date back to the 15th century; however, around the mid-1700s, the first golf club opened in Edinburgh, Scotland, which established the basic rules and regulations of the game. Since then, rules have always governed the game of golf and education has always been a necessary element in learning the game. Strategy is a major aspect of the game, even today instructors, scientists and engineers have examined every aspect of swing, ball striking and mental technique (USGA). As the game's popularity expanded beyond the borders of Scotland, universal rules became necessary to maintain the uniformity of the game. In addition to the rules, the game of golf over time became a game of technique. It's one thing to hit the ball really far, but it's a completely different strategy when chipping and putting. Over time the game of golf has become extremely technical, especially for professionals, which has resulted in a growing need for adequate teaching (Can You Learn). Teaching is not telling. Help someone understand a skill. Teaching is a difficult skill to learn because it requires patience and a complete understanding of the skill. It is important to put yourself in the students' shoes. Understanding how they learn makes it easier to teach them something. Teach something...... middle of paper......ns?" - Walk the Walk. Np, nd Web.
