In football, there are eleven players on the field for the offensive part and eleven players for the defensive part. Even in football many players only play attack or defense. This makes for larger rosters in football, as there are approximately twenty players on offense and twenty players on defense. This would result in players at every defensive position, as well as the fact that they would be runners on every base and a hitter at the plate ready to hit. Baseball teams have nine players on the field who play defense; these same players also play in attack. Baseball rosters are much smaller than football rosters. A baseball team usually consists of twenty total players on the bench and about ten pitchers in the bullpen. Although there are ten pitchers in the bullpen, only about three or four of them will play in any particular game. In football there is only high school, college, arena, Canadian and the National Football League. With the NFL being the highest level. Baseball is made up of high school, college, and Major League Baseball. In Major League Baseball, there are three different minor league levels.
