In football, there are eleven players on the field for the offensive part and eleven players for the defensive part. Even in football many players only play attack or defense. This would result in players at every defensive position, as well as the fact that they would be runners on every base and a hitter at the plate ready to hit. A baseball team usually consists of twenty total players on the bench and about ten pitchers in the bullpen.
