What there is in the world of politics is a world of fear. Or at least so for those who cross paths with Francis Underwood, the main character of the Netflix original series, House of Cards. At the beginning of the first season, Francis Underwood captures the true essence of what the entire show is about: “There are two kinds of pain. The kind of pain that makes you strong, or useless pain. The kind of pain that is just suffering. I have no patience for useless things” (Script: reddit.com). As he finishes this sentence he brutally kills a dog lying on the street, which had just been injured after being hit by a car. He continues: “Moments like this require someone like me.
