IntroductionThe objective of this essay is to observe etymology and etymological loanwords from other languages. This article will cover many loanwords from other languages such as Latin, Greek, French, Spanish, and others. Etymology studies the origin and history of words, their form and meaning. More specifically, “word etymology means the origin of a particular word.” Etymology is the study of the word, its history, its meanings, and how its meaning and form change over time. The first of these early transcontinental chimpanzees came from Angola and was presented as a gift to the Prince of Orange in 1640, followed by some of his siblings in subsequent years. Scientists who examined these rare specimens were baffled and described these early chimpanzees as "pygmies" and noted the animals' distinct similarities to humans. The next two decades would see a number of the creatures imported into Europe, mainly acquired by various zoos as visitor entertainment.
