Some people are born to become legends, Bruce Springsteen is one of them. From the moment he was born and throughout his youth everyone knew he was destined for something bigger than a normal nine to five life, they just didn't realize the magnitude of what was to come. Born into a middle class family of all-round food, Bruce wasn't even in that house, he didn't realize that within fifty years he would achieve the status of a living legend. They also have the title of one of the best musicians at every live. After working hard for what he loves, Bruce has become known as a musical hero and inspiration to his fans and fellow musicians. With his soulful lyrics, extraordinary stage presence, incredible guitar skills and passion, he is an untouchable force in the music industry. He uses his lyrics to vent his emotions and his past, but also to add awareness to social issues around the world. Bruce and his love of music influenced him throughout his life and shaped him into who he is today. His music now affects the world. His music truly changed the world (musically and socially) forever. Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen was born on September 23, 1949 to his parents Douglas Frederick Springsteen and Adele Ann. He was born and raised in Long Branch, New Jersey. He often references his childhood home and neighborhood in his songs. Growing up in a town in New Jersey, baseball was a big part of that community. Bruce loved playing and watching baseball (he also references baseball in his later songs). Although he loved playing and watching baseball, he didn't like playing with the neighbor's children. In the biography “Bruce,” some of Bruce's close children describe Bruce as a “loner” and say that “he would often be alone.” (Bruce; Peter Ames Carlin; pg. 44) It says... halfway down the page... as shown over and over again, that he is not only an extraordinary performer and musician, but also an extraordinary person too. He constantly adds new sounds and styles to his music, while maintaining the "E Street" sound. After years of dedication, hard work and passion he truly became one of the greatest and best known musicians of all time. His music will live on even after his passing. With his personality and music he earned the nickname "The Boss". When receiving the Kennedy Center honor, President Obama said, "I may be the president, but Bruce is the boss." It still lives up to the nickname.
