Considering that I am close to my parents, the way I chose my important personal traits was by selecting characteristics that, if omitted, would make interacting with my mother and my father. I chose trust and respect for my personal vital characteristics, for my main professional characteristics I chose diligence and responsibility. I'll start by explaining what these characteristics are, giving an example of how I show them and how they relate to society. Finally, I compare trust to the other three traits, address any conflicts that exist when applying these traits, and suggest some ways to resolve them. I believe trust is made up of three factors. The first is that an individual should do his best to keep a promise. This is important because a broken promise could jeopardize your friendship, trust, or reputation. The second is that one should also aspire to the truth. Sincerity is important because it gives me the sense of security that I am telling the truth and not being reprimanded for telling a lie. Those who are told the truth also receive a sense of security because they feel that what is true is worth being told. The third factor is that an individual should take into account the privacy of others. This is important because it allows people's confidential information to remain private. I demonstrated sincerity at a South Texas PGA junior golf tournament a few years ago. I was checking my score with my opponent who was also my scorekeeper. I noticed that he had made a mistake when he had written one stroke less on one of the holes than I had actually done. I told him about this mistake now and he corrected it. I ended up finishing in second place in that tournament missing first place by three strokes. ...... middle of paper ...... a work environment, this process can be facilitated by offering workers an incentive to complete an accountability seminar. In the seminar one of the factors that would be talked about would be the fear associated with admitting that you have made a mistake due to the likelihood of being reprimanded. Instead, individuals would be taught the importance of admitting wrongdoings as soon as possible. This is because doing nothing while the problem remains unresolved only makes things worse. In conclusion, the four key traits needed to live a good life are trust, respect, diligence and responsibility. Trust means being honest, keeping promises and keeping confidential information confidential. Respect means being considerate of others. Diligence means working to the best of your ability. And finally, accountability means being responsible.
