What Makes You Unique Every person living on this earth is unique in various ways. For many, they are a role model for their children. One statement my mother truly confided in me was that a person never knows someone until they walk a mile in their shoes. This statement is truly what makes me the person I am today. Over the course of this reflective essay, I will reflect on the following: what I remember about my family, what I remember about my childhood, what jobs I have held in my life, and my personal, professional, and academic goals. All the criteria mentioned are what makes me unique. I hope that by the end of this essay you understand that people have difficulties and that you never know someone until you walk a mile in their shoes. When asked what my family was like, it can be quite simple and direct. My family consisted of a religious family, where I was an only child. My father died when I was three years old. I remember my family being very liberal. My entire family seemed to believe in government action to achieve equality of opportunity and opportunity for all; It is the state's responsibility to ameliorate social harms and protect civil liberties, individual and human rights, the role of government should be to ensure that no one is in need and that people are basically okay. Until the age of three, my mother and father had five adopted children that they cared for. Since my father died when I was three years old, my mother had to give up my adoptive brothers and sisters.
