The Trinity. I've been putting this topic off for a long time. You see, I love theology. I find it fascinating. I spend almost my entire school day reading these things. However, I am dealing with some issues. First, I hear everything I could say, most of it can be found in other places, to put it better. Secondly, I usually can't make the full sense of it all. In the end, I have even more trouble explaining it than learning it. I would consider myself fairly intellectual, but my realm of intelligence is emotional and interpersonal. Laws, processes and definitions are difficult for me. My theology is a very emotional theology. No one to be affected by my mood. Nor similar to a passionate invitation to religious service. Those are emotions that come from my head. I'm talking about the emotions of the heart. A heart centered on God in particular. So instead of giving you a textbook answer on the theology of the Trinity. I would much rather give you my secular theology, and if you want a deeper understanding, I will point you in the right direction. Fair enough? I have been dealing with criticism of Trinity since early January. You see, I live with my grandmother, who I love very much, but who happens to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Which in case you didn't know. They do not believe that Jesus is God or divine. Instead, they believe that Jesus is literally the son of God, since God created Jesus before anything else and then had Jesus create the rest. They believe that Jesus is the archangel Michael. Not nice. The Trinity itself is easy to explain. Jesus is God. The Father is God. The Spirit is God. All three are God. All three, however, are different people. One entity, three people. Easy to explain, hard to understand... middle of paper... hard to understand. It's fine anyway. We are human. He is God. God is infinite, why should beings like us have any idea who He is? What makes us think we are capable? The beautiful thing though is that, in time, we will understand everything fully (Luke 8:17 NLT). The main point is that Christ, as God and man, died for us and in doing so gave us the ability to be free. from the slavery of our sin. What really matters is what you do with that part today. It is there that theology comes out of books and takes on a life of its own. What will you do with this truth? Much love, Luke “Tell me why in this room there are three candles and only one light, and I will explain to you the way of divine existence.” - John Wesley"The best theology is rather a divine life than a divine knowledge." -Jeremy Taylor
