Computers play a huge role in society today. In most cases people have their phone, PDA or laptop with them. These are all computers in some way and people tend to form a relationship or obsession with them. It's interesting that we create this relationship or obsession with something that is so similar to us. If you think about it, computers are very similar to the human body. In this essay I will tell you about how computers and humans are very similar. Human beings have all these different parts that work together to keep you alive and functioning. Computers work the same way by having multiple pieces fit together into a single unit that all work together to function properly. These multiple pieces are: motherboard, central processing unit, graphics processing unit, fans, mouse, monitor, hard drive, RAM (Rapid Storage Memory) memory card, cabling, case, keyboard, and power supply. A computer motherboard acts almost like the nervous system of the human body. As the brain thinks and narrates actions, it routes through the nervous system to perform the action. The motherboard connects every piece of the computer together and routes all the information to the desired location. The central processing unit, also known as CPU, is related to a person's brain. The brain commands the body to perform actions and processes information. Without the computer's CPU, this could not work at all. The CPU processes all the information and sends it through the motherboard to the correct location. The monitor acts as the head of the body. The head contains the facial features and stores the brain at the top. Although the CPU does not reside in the monitor, the monitor contains the face. The face is projected from the head. It is optional for one...... half of the card ...... for each or the parts. The power supply acts as the heart pumping energy for the entire unit. The power supply doesn't connect everything through wires like the heart and veins do, but it works the same way as the heart. The power supply produces the amount of voltage needed by each part of the system to operate each part. Finally the Case which is similar to the body. The body is a single unit that contains all the functioning parts within it. The computer case contains all the parts except the extruded parts just like the human body, for example: the head. Chance comes in many shapes and forms, just like people. Humans and computers are similar in many ways. The only big difference between us and computers is that we have a conscience. If it weren't for consciousness, they could probably become very alive like we are, or like we see in the movies.
