Laberge (2003) states that teaching is the process of transmitting skills, knowledge, attitudes and values. It can also be considered as a cyclical process of instilling, transmitting or building knowledge. It basically involves different types of skills, classroom management, selection and adaptation of appropriate materials, assessment and evaluation of students. It is somehow related to developing a good learning process. Encarta (2009) defines learning as the acquisition of knowledge or skills. It's about acquiring new skills. To achieve a good teaching and learning development process, both teachers and students play a vital role during the lesson. One of the major concerns in ensuring success in the classroom is the proper approach or appropriate methodologies used in the classroom by teachers. As we all know, students have their own learning style. To assess students well, a valid and adequate teaching approach is important so that the learning objectives are achievable. In this regard, some considerations that teachers should look into what are the different teaching strategies, the background of the students and the implementation of which methodology works best for the respective students. To choose the suitable method, the teacher should be able to evaluate the students. Whether it is an informal or formal assessment, this should give an idea of the level of the students and the previous education that the students were accustomed to, as well as their academic level. Today there have been many debates and discussions about which method works best and is effective for students. The different approach to teaching has seen dramatic changes in the last two decades which have led to paradigm shifts in the current learning classroom. In this t......middle of paper......ies.
