High School Senior Trip Have you ever noticed how "Time flies when you're having fun"? In fact, when friends and holidays are involved, it seems even more so. After all, that's the point of the high school senior field trip. Clinton High School has always been known for its senior field trips. While the high school seniors took trips to Washington, D.C. and Disney World, the Clinton High School seniors were on a cruise to the Bahamas. The graduating class of 1990 was no different. The bus ride to Florida, where we would board the ship, was just the beginning. Everyone was excited to go on a cruise and anxious to get to the Bahamas. Since we were all teenagers and none of our graduating class had ever been to the Bahamas, we obviously had chaperones. Everyone was laughing and having fun. Apparently some students were having more fun than others because before the bus even left South Carolina the chaperones could smell alcohol. After a while we stopped and had lunch. We were exhausted at this point. Soon after, everyone was asleep and continued to sleep for the rest of the trip to Florida. By the time everyone was awake, we were in Ft. Lauderdale. Here we boarded the cruise ship. You know the phrase “So much to do, so little time”? This just about sums up the events that take place aboard the cruise ship. We boarded the ship like a flock of birds. Then everyone split up and went their separate ways. There was so much to do and see on this ship, I don't think you could do it all in a week or less in three days. Keep in mind that we are teenagers and will soon be in international waters. You know what that means: no age limit. We us... middle of paper......ch to catch some rays. Many girls going to the market stopped at a small shop and had their hair braided. Before we knew it, it was time to board the ship and set sail for Florida. That evening on board the ship was even wilder than the night before. We saw the chaperones just walking around and watching. Word spread that the chaperones had given up. They would let us run wild and do whatever we wanted. Needless to say, we did. We were docked in Florida and headed home before we knew it. All in all our senior class trip was one of the best times I've ever had. It also felt like one of the shortest. Specifically, it was the best time a Clinton High School graduating class has ever had. In simpler terms, we were the last graduating class of Clinton High School to take a cruise to the Bahamas.
