PhilippinesFound in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is primarily composed of islands. In reality the Islands are formations with protruding tops of a submerged mountain range. The peaks that formed great prominence turned out to be the modern major islands that make up the Philippines namely Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The fact that this Far Eastern country is located on a chain of mountain peaks best explains why the Philippines is prone to active volcanoes from around 20 sources and devastating earthquakes. Despite these natural disasters, this is a country that is home to a rich history that dates back hundreds of years. This is because it is made up of immigrants from all the surrounding countries, China, Malaysia and others. Internationally, this country is recognized as the "Republic of the Philippines". Something unique about the Philippines is that it was colonized by a number of colonial masters. The first foreign colonial explorers to arrive in these islands were the Spanish. Specifically, the story goes that Ferdinand Magellan arrived before other European explorers and thus secured a colony for his king who was in Italy. Unfortunately, he was killed in subsequent expeditions organized by Spanish explorers. As the arrival of more Spaniards intensified in the Philippines, they established their rule which lasted about 300 years. However, the Philippines was a hot spot for many explorers and thus the Spanish often found themselves engaged in wars with other explorers such as the English and Americans. In the late 19th century, the Spanish were conquered by the Americans who took over the command authority and reigned from 1898 to 1935 when the Philippines gained independence. However, U...... middle of paper ......n, it's not as easy as it used to be. People have become so indulgent with busy schedules. Although face-to-face negotiations promote truth to a great degree, non-face-to-face communication is very important especially if the first meeting took place face-to-face. However, in non-face-to-face negotiations, your tone and the intensity of your voice become an important side observation that explains more about the message being communicated. The process is full of flaws, but if it is the only means available for negotiation, make sure all parties involved are reading the facts from the same text, that you are all using the tools available to both of you, and that you recognize the difficulties involved in the process by which you have to introduce yourself every time you speak. Face-to-face negotiation is not ideal for the first meeting, but can be adopted for subsequent meetings.
