Important trends in the bioeconomy1. Biobased industries impact other industries. The impact of the bioeconomy can also be seen in the multiplier and ripple effect of the bioeconomy. It has been seen that with the bioeconomy there is both an economic multiplier and ripple effects. This is particularly important when evaluating job creation in the industries of a bioeconomy. For example, the multiplier effect of the direct economic contribution of the consumer supplement industry is examined and found to extend beyond direct employment, goods and services purchased, and tax payments. It has also been demonstrated that indirect and downstream economic contributions are evident even beyond the particular sector studied. The cited study uses the input-output (I/O) method to calculate the multiplier and ripple effects of the consumer supplement industry. The I/O model is based on the theory that when new money enters a community through investment, revenue, or income, some of it is spent again one or more times in the local economy, thus creating additional economic impact. This impact is often measured in terms of employment (jobs) and income. In this way it is possible to measure the relationship between the total impact on employment and the initial impact. The studio uses IMPLAN. The study also demonstrates the interconnectedness of a sector with other sectors. This study for the consumer supplements sector aims to determine how its direct economic impacts “spill over” to other sectors in terms of economic activity and employment. Therefore governments should study the entire value chain of economic supply to ensure a positive multiplier effect in the economy. Additionally, "quick wins" may be possible in areas with higher multiplication ratios.2. ...... middle of the sheet ......economic-project-the-10-minute-guideChina14.
