Florence Nightingale significantly influenced modern medicine in the field of nursing. Famous for her role as the founder of modern nursing and hospital epidemiology , Florence Nightingale also made notable contributions to health statistics Although she made considerable contributions to health statistics, she is most famous for her role in modern nursing (March 2009 Vol.20-number 2: p 311) Born on. May 12, 1820 while her parents were in Florence, Italy, and later named after the city Florence Nightingale believed she had a calling despite her parents believing that nursing was not the right profession for a woman Reluctantly, after some hesitation, her parents allowed her to attend a Kaisewerth nursing school in Germany where she studied for a quarter of a year. After her training began the journey that saw Florence Nightingale become a very influential person in modern medicine and leave a huge mark on the world of nursing. He died on August 13, 1910 but his legacy lives on. Florence Nightingale succeeded in establishing nursing as a respectable and respectable profession. At the outbreak of the Crimean War, through the war minister Sidney Herbert, whom she knew, he sent her with a team of 38 women to manage the hospital barrack in Scutari. There he observed that the hygienic conditions, among other things, were terrible. Thanks to his commitment and hard work they managed to reduce the number of fatal cases from 32% to 2%, a significant decrease. Four years after returning to England, she started the Nightingale Training School for nurses at St Thomas' Hospital in London.
