Research PaperWhen the US federal government established new regulations for what schools had to provide for lunches for their students, many people were unhappy with what was happening. Especially when students began to complain of hunger after the school provided them with lunch. With the new regulations the price of lunches has increased. The new rules have made school lunch more expensive and made it clear that most students, especially elementary school students, do not want or refuse to eat healthier foods. Of course, school systems would have to find a way to make it easier for their students to eat the healthier foods they now had to offer. The federal government used Michele Obama to promote healthier eating and physical activity, but after some time the healthier school lunch program was called a failure. There are so many things people could say about the new school lunch rules, but all of these things would amount to nothing. When our government made these rules about school meals, there was no going against what was happening at the time and there was no going back from what we were used to. How much did school lunch cost when you were little? I know that for us, school lunch cost between two dollars and two dollars and fifty cents in elementary school. In middle school, school lunch cost two dollars and thirty-five cents. Right now in high school, the average student's lunch is two dollars and sixty-five cents. On average, school meal prices have increased by fourteen cents since the new rules were passed. With the new rules, the food that schools must purchase to provide lunch for their students becomes more expensive.
