Standing next to my log I realized that people are still racist. I don't know if it was the color of my skin or my long beard. I mention this because as I stood next to my register, many Caucasian customers pasted me and went to a different register. They looked at me and saw my light was on and walked past me. I asked one of the customers if they were ready to checkout. He didn't even answer me or look at me. This really bothered me because racism still exists today. However, I saw that the express line was busy, so I decided to take one of the customers to my checkout. I approached and asked “I can help you, follow me”. "Of course," she replied. When I returned to my checkout, some other customers were already there putting their groceries on the belt. The two women got into a heated argument over who should go first. For ten minutes they went ahead and fourth. Calling each other names and insulting each other. I was shocked because I can't believe what I was seeing and hearing. I didn't say anything, I just watched and listened. But in my mind I said to myself “why are you guys fighting for something as small as who goes first”. Once the discussion was over, I managed to finish her and the other lady off with each other. Nothing really exciting happened after that. The customers came and I called them and them
