Louis Pasteur, the most famous French chemist in the world, was born on 27 December 1822 and died on 28 September 1895. He said: “There is no category of science to which can be called applied science. There is science and the applications of science, tied together like the fruit of the tree that bears it,” which showed his ideal method for science. In this quote he admitted that theoretical science and applied science must go hand in hand and his entire scientific life went on in this way. Furthermore, Louis Pasteur was known as the father of the modern medical industry and the study of microorganisms. An example taken from his works could be the vaccine. With his rabies vaccine he saved the lives of thousands of people over many decades. Louis Pasteur is legendary due to his significant biography, family history and his achievements, especially the rabies vaccine and its impact on our lives nowadays. First of all, his family status and history were significant to him. Louis Pasteur was born into a tanner breeder and his father had the greatest influence on him. In a speech, he said this quote to his dear father: “My dear father, whose life was as hard as your hard craft, you have shown me what patience can accomplish when the task is long. It is to you that I owe my tenacity in carrying out the work that needs to be done day after day." His father was Jean-Joseph, a famous soldier of Napoleon's war. In 1811, Jean-Joseph joined the army and the following year was promoted to the rank of corporal. In 1814 he earned the nickname "bravest of the brave" and was promoted to sergeant major that year.
