The outcome I need to work towards is being able to discuss sexuality-related topics in a mature manner in various situations. Since starting the course I have learned to talk about sexuality in a general format with close friends, especially those who have taken a course on human sexuality, as we no longer consider it inappropriate. Although I discuss sexuality with my friends, I still feel uncomfortable talking about it with people older than me, especially my parents and other family members. I think the reason for this discomfort is that I'm still stuck in the childhood habit of seeing sexuality as something embarrassing to talk about with your parents. I feel that until I get over this embarrassment it will hold me back from talking about sexuality with others, especially if I have children one day. I hope that as I get older I will reach an age where I no longer feel that awkwardness and feel comfortable discussing sexuality with others, including my own
