Malware has recently been discovered on campus systems at Aim Higher College due to several recent attacks. I used virus protection software called AVG on the campus computer systems and ran a scan of the entire computer. The results came in very quickly: numbers of high and medium priority malware that should not be taken lightly. Furthermore, the scan detected numerous viruses, Trojans, malicious software and applications. The first result was a medium priority file, which is a cryptcat.exe file that this program can potentially use to remotely access the program. The second find was a Psh.exe file of very high priority: it was a Trojan Horse Dropper called Generic4.BVMA, which actually caused damage to the system by crashing or altering it. Thirdly, I found a medium priority which was an astlog.exe file developed by NirSoft, the file can be Logger.IAC malicious program which is an adware software and attackers can abuse it to get your passwords on your system.
