Objective: The contemporary education system in our country has always been driven by colonial and political forces. Although it aims to civilize the natives, in its current form it is more exploitative. Education has been institutionalized in every remote corner of the world. It doesn't seem to deliver on its promise of helping children earn a "better life." We seek to explore an alternative style of learning, embedded in Tibetan Buddhist educational philosophy, to address concerns regarding modern classroom practices. Objective: • To understand and analyze the unique educational system of Tibetan Buddhism and its relevance in the contemporary world • To draw parallels between the modern Indian educational system and Tibetan Buddhist methodologies.
