Capitalism and How It Is SeenCapitalism, by definition, is known as “a way of organizing an economy in such a way that the things used to produce and transport products are owned by individuals and businesses rather than by government” (Marxism). For some this is the correct way to manage the economic situation of their country. But for others, like Karl Marx and Adam Smith, there are other systems that would be more adequate. Is capitalism really the best way to go? What are other options that might be better than capitalism? We need to see what would be the best solution for society. If anyone were to affect him negatively, then it is not an option to take. So, we need to see the pros and cons of capitalism and how it can affect the economy and our society. During the Industrial Revolution, there was a clear division between two classes, the proletarians and the bourgeoisie. The proletariats were mostly members of the working class. They were the workers who were in the factories, doing the work the proletarian class paid them to do. The bourgeoisie consisted of entrepreneurs, those who owned property and made money from it. Some believed that the proletariat only wanted to profit from the work of the bourgeoisie, but did not care much about them. If it was to make them money, they would have the bourgeoisie do it. This shows a bit of capitalism through the bourgeoisie. Capitalism is known as a very laissez-faire system, or one in which the government does not interfere. Over the years, many countries have adopted this form of economy to make the people's voices heard. Without interference from the government, there is more freedom and less risk of the government messing up the ec... middle of paper... I won't have to deal with a huge mess created by these different systems being implemented. So, is capitalism the right way to go? It really depends on which point of view you look at it. Whether Marx's, Smith's, Veblen's, or your own, all that really matters is to seek what will benefit us most positively. Works Cited Little, Dan.
