I don't think everything should be attributed to one person. Working is a job, but it can also be an escape. Being a stay-at-home mom involves a lot of work, as does going to work. The job duties in both locations could be tough and demanding. I feel like working and being a stay-at-home mom both have pros and cons. Being a stay-at-home mother lets her run errands, take care of the kids, clean the house, do the laundry, and attend all the events. Not to mention being involved in all these events and sometimes catering to them.
