Personality and Personal Growth“An integral being knows without going, sees without looking, and realizes without doing” – Lao TzuThe textbook definition of personality is the unique pattern of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of an individual that persist over time and situations. I agree with this idea that a personality is what makes all of us who we are. I believe that a personality is a combination of innate characteristics that everyone is born with and the sum of total life experiences. I believe that a personality is a representation of an individual's reality. The way an individual walks, talks, talks and even the career path they choose to take is all a reflection of their personality. I believe that every individual is put on this earth to influence every person they come into contact with; It is each individual's responsibility to learn and teach each other. I firmly believe that you are born with a unique and distinct personality. I remember that when both my nieces and nephew were born, each of them had a specific personality that transformed them and made each of them what they are today. My oldest granddaughter, from a young age has always had this older wisdom about her as if she were a reincarnated older spirit. This wisdom always emerges in his personality; she continually teaches us (older people) and makes us look at life in a different way than we would originally see something.
