As a member of the gaming community for 8 years, I am proud to say that I play Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go is a game where you walk around and catch these creatures with Pokeballs. Some Game Center members disagree with new applications of augmented reality and real-world locations because they find them dangerous. Lately, the news has been reporting players getting injured, knocked out, and even arrested. Very few players found themselves involved in car accidents, were lured into armed robberies, or made irresponsible mistakes such as leaving children unattended, colliding with people, and wandering onto private property. However, any of these incidents can occur when using other games, social media applications, and/or simply using your game. At the start of Pokemon Go, players must select one of three teams. These teams help classify you based on what you expect in the game. Team Instinct is also known as the yellow faction and is based on trusting your instincts and the innate talent of your Pokemon. Team Mystic is also referred to as the blue faction known for its intimidating focus on Pokemon evolution. Team Valor, aka the red faction, wants to be the best and believes in bonding with Pokemon to exploit their inner strengths. Teams are set up by motivational factors. There are gyms in the game that can be conquered by any team. Once a gym is claimed by a team, it is the responsibility of the other factions to challenge it. This feature of the game helps create bonds between players. Choosing your team basically gives you a community of people who can support you in your conquest of Pokemon and gyms. Friends typically choose different teams to engage in friendly rivalries. The factions have days where they meet to capture Pokemon and challenge gyms in battles. Meeting new people is inevitable due to the number of players on each team. Age doesn't matter when it comes to this augmented reality game because Pokemon has been out since 1990. Parents play with their kids In Pokemon Go real-world landmarks, statues, historical landmarks, and art installations are considered PokeStops. PokeStops in the game offer Pokeballs, Potions, Revives, and Eggs. In the real world, Pokes Stops offer landmark information. Using Pokemon Go will help you discover new facts about your neighborhood. Like many players, I don't really know the cultural definition of my neighborhood. We usually define the neighborhood based on the negative aspects without realizing the history behind it. When I look at the statues and monuments in my neighborhood, I really don't know why they were placed there or what they represent. Pokemon Go makes an effort to push you out of your community, so exploration happens. After visiting a landmark and collecting items in the game, the Poke Stop no longer provides any. Since items sell out quickly, you find yourself entering other neighborhoods in search of more. As you search for these items you explore different parts of your city and gain basic information. This feature is basically like a mini tour guide, taking you to landmarks, then providing brief historical information about them. Including this feature in games is very significant because you can also learn new information about your neighborhood in a fun and engaging way
