Did you know that 14 billion tons of waste are dumped into the ocean every year? And most of it is plastic. Think about it, fish, you could ingest plastic too. If you enjoy breathing fresh air or looking at blue skies, you should learn how to continue doing so. If taking time out to catch a few waves on the beach or fishing is an important part of your life, you should be informed about the ways pollution can prevent you from doing so. If you want to live a longer, healthier life for yourself or others you care about, you should learn the different ways you can improve your chances. Over the course of my life, I have been to the following beaches: Ocean, Pacific, La Jolla, Imperial, and Solana. While visiting these beaches I saw birds eating cigarette buds. I stepped on plastic and trash as I entered the water. I've also seen people throw trash on the floor because they're too lazy to walk a little further. I have been to several hiking trails such as: Cowles Mountain, Mission Trails, Torrey Pines, and Lake Murray. While hiking I have seen people fall because the trail had been worn down not only by us humans, but also by Mother Nature. In my article I will discuss how pollution affects everyone and everything around us. What you can do to help reduce pollution. Last but not least, what the world will look like with and without my solution. Now I want you to imagine that you are going to the beach; It's been a year and a half since you last went for a swim. Of course once you get there you are full of joy; then, you jump into the water. Once you're chest deep in the cool, ice-cold water, you feel something near you. As you look down, horror takes over your face as you see a dead seagull entwined between your legs. When... middle of paper... other nature by participating in the cleaning of beaches and parks, participating in the restoration of paths and raising awareness of those close to you. While you do this, I will do as you do. As well as starting my own club/foundation to expand my knowledge and more about pollution, how it affects everything and what they can do to help prevent pollution. I hope today I have lit a fire inside you that will continue to grow the more you help the environment you live in. That fire will spread until the entire word is on fire.
