Social injustices towards the Chinese people. Ordinary people in China suffer from their government. From being falsely accused to being executed for minor crimes. In a country where you can't express your opinions, speak ill of government officials, talk about the failures of Chinese communism, or even browse the Internet freely. China has kept its citizens in the dark. An example is China's great firewall which detects most social media and other sites. This essay will examine some individual stories related to the Chinese government's unjust social injustices towards its people. My first statement is the story of a man named Liu Hai. He was working in a mine in China in rather harsh conditions. When he collapsed at work. He was taken to hospital and died 72 hours later. It sounds like it was a work injury, but it wasn't. Chinese law says that workplace injuries are only valid if the person dies after 48 hours. Then Liu Hai's wife ended up with a 40,000 yuan note. She couldn't afford it, so she went to work on a landscaping project outside Qindao. He states that “I couldn't move the big stones, so I moved the small ones. I got tired of using the wheelbarrow to move the soil, so I only filled it halfway. At night my whole body ached and the pain was so bad that I couldn't sleep." “My daily expenses were less than four yuan. I would only buy the cheapest foods I could find. Sometimes, if I wanted some meat, I bought two chicken heads and cooked them." "After finishing the job we moved to another construction site where the contractor said we would be paid there. After working a total of 82 days we still hadn't been paid. This is just one of the terrible stories that the Chinese government put in one of these documents... the problem is that most schools abuse this law and end up forcing children to do a lot of hard work. Which is against Chinese law, but the government doesn't do a very good job of enforcing it. So these children will work 14 hours a day, live in a cardboard box, receive little food and water, for only 26 cents an hour! Incredible, that's less than four dollars a day. This is just another of the many social injustices within China's hidden walls. China is the story of a county that tried to keep its citizens from the outside world, tried to make people work for virtually no pay, instituted inhumane laws and other terrible actions. But the scary thing is that they got away with it. The government is too powerful to question and will remain so until the people learn about these crimes. Only in this way can China become a just and just country.
