Topic > My Parents' Pressure on Academics - 842

As I wrote about myself and my parents' pressure on academics, I realize that everyone's pressure in this Parents' Pressure on Academics comes from the early years of life, to example experts said, “Parental pressure on academics Emphasis on academic achievement begins very early” (Rodham 71). Parents start worrying about their children's future from the very beginning of life which pushes them to impose some academic expectations, as a result parents don't know how this pressure affects their children and neither do the experts because as I searched for opinions of the experts I realize that the experts only focused on why parents put this pressure on their children consequently they also realized that this pressure affects children. However, they don't bother to watch how the kids who feel this pressure and these expectations behave towards them. When this parental pressure on academics is discussed by other experts like Pope and Denise, they often only look at parents and why they are putting pressure on their children, for example "The best way for parents to prepare children for a future successful is stressing about academics…never accept a poor grade” (Pressure to Succeed Affects Student Health). Suggestions like the one given by the Pope often give parents an excuse to think that it is okay to exert this pressure, as a result, when parents put this pressure on their children, they often see some kind of progress such as good grades or more attention to school as suggested from Palmer. , Barbara “The pressure to get good grades often leads to high stress, cheating, professors said” which makes them think that this pressure and expectations are working, however, they don't realize that with this progress something is happening to them. When I decided to talk about this (name) parental pressure on ac...... middle of paper ......and betrayedWhile I was researching what the experts had to say about this parental pressure on academics, I came to the conclusion that people do not see the internal dilemmas that this pressure is causing for students who fall into this category. Students who belong to this ethnicity would then have difficulties in their lives as all the pressure around them would cause them psychological dilemmas. As a result, experts do not focus on the students' point of view, which means they would never arrive at a good reason why students don't go to school. In conclusion, experts should stand with the student's point of view and realize that the problem is not really dropping out of college, getting bad grades, or cheating on homework, if not the mental problems caused by the pressure and mentality of having a option. that is fulfilling the expectations their parents have for them.
