Abolish the Food and Drug AdministrationThe Food and Drug Administration, also known as the FDA, ensures the protection of products and drugs sold every day. The FDA has served as an enforcement agency of the U.S. federal government since 1906. The foods and drugs it approves are unsafe for the environment. In fact, approved foods and drugs represent a danger to animals and human life. Every day numerous health risks are caused by genetically modified organisms. The FDA should be abolished because it harms health, safety and the environment. “Whether the genetically modified foods on the market cause common diseases, mild symptoms or have a long-term impact, we may never know. There is no monitoring” (Genetically modified foods). Genetically modified organisms are unnatural foods made from organisms whose DNA is modified through genetic engineering. The results of genetically modified, GMO or GM foods are causing numerous health risks. In other words, genetically modified foods are a scientific experiment on human life. These dramatically increasing health risks are infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, and changes in major organs, including the gastrointestinal system. There are couples who try to have children for several years and find that they too can't. It's disgusting how GMO foods can lead to infertility. A person is infertile after unsuccessfully conceiving a child less than a year old. Now most couples today can't have their own bundle of joy because the FDA has approved GMO products for consumers to purchase. Since many married couples cannot have children, this can lead to a decrease in employment in schools. Even if couples end up having a baby and the baby's mother consumes GMO products, the baby... middle of paper... rm is likely to count. This didn't happen overnight, it's a process. Every time you take a bite of a science-based food, it harms you internally. The power the FDA has is real and must be stopped. The environment must be saved from scientific experiments. The nation's future kids will have to eliminate the use of genetically modified and cloned meat. Human life is not an experiment. The Food and Drug Administration must be abolished because it only poses a danger to human health and the environment. If you don't know your rights then you don't have any at all. Americans have free speech to raise awareness of those who are being poisoned daily. It's one thing to avoid GMOs and cloned meat, but it's another to stand up to the FDA. Once the Food and Drug Administration is abolished, the nature of this country will be replaced by scientific experiments.
